General Purpose
Provide executive expertise in the full range of financial functions including financial controls, accounting, capital management, financial analysis and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Stakeholders, CEO/President, Senior Management and Direct Reports:
- Responsible for all finance, accounting and reporting functions of the group, including but not limited to general ledger (GL), reporting, reconciliation and consolidation, etc.
- Establishing the financial and management reporting system and accounting infrastructure for the company and affiliates, and responsible for the financial and reporting functions for the said entities.
- Ensure financial and management reporting is accurate, true and fair, and is submitted within the deadline set.
- Ensure adherence with internal control framework to ensure accuracy of data collection and entries.
- Manage financial planning process which includes annual budget, monthly forecasting, and multiple-year business plan development and ensure all budgets are accurate, comprehensive and completed on time.
- Building a strong communication structure, collating relevant information impacting profitability and ensuring awareness of key stakeholders on financial performance.
- Prepare a monthly reporting package that includes full financial statements, operational dashboard reporting, analysis of key performance indicators, and comprehensive executive level explanations of variances and trends.
- Provide financial analysis and business acumen in depth analysis in providing decision support and/or make tactical and strategic decisions.
- Driving company profitability and growth by analysing revenues and costs as well as new initiatives and business cases.
- Responsible for the preparation of tax computations, estimated tax payable and other taxation submissions to the tax authorities.
- Lead the Company’s research on accounting standards compliance by the company.
- Working closely with company secretaries on documentation of approvals that has financial implications.
- Working closely with company’s operations department to establish continuous process improvement for operating procedures that has financial impact.
- Working closely with company’s Human Resource department in executing KPI implementation and staff rewards mechanism.
- Motivate and coach staffs under his/her control, and specifically ensure that all junior/new employees are correctly and regularly trained and updated on company’s financial and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Accounting and Finance and a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant with minimum[3-5] years of relevant working experience.
- Agriculture sector financial reporting experience is a plus.
- Strong cost and management accounting skill set.
- Have experience in planning, analysis and budgeting.
- Able to work independently and drive projects to completion.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
